ALong with using for COST PLUS jobs, Site Summaries are can be used to track works that are a Variation or Allowances nominated as part of the Fixed Price contract.

 

SITE SUMMARIES are broken into four areas:

 

1) Labour

2) Materials

3) Sub-Contractors

4) Hire and Misc

 

1) Labour

Labour refers to labour supplied by you and your carpentry team. This includes Supervisors, Carpenters & Apprentices. Your charge out rates will have been set up in your Estimate proposal to the customer.

 

2) Materials

Materials is all building materials  purchased for use in the project

 

3) Sub-Contractors

All sub-contractors used in the project such as plumbers, electricians, tilers etc.

 

4) Hire Equipment

All equipment either hired externally or that you have purchased and can rightfully hire out to the customer, for example a tipper truck, jackhammers etc. I also use this to put in rubbish removal, skips bins etc.

 

 

Site Summaries are used to keep track of all the above four components. Choose to pick up details from the BM mobile App such as Time-Sheets and Materials. 

 

Where a subcontractor has been on-site you can either choose to track the time here or perhaps make a progress claim as many sub-contractors are very slow at sending their own invoices out.

 

INVOICING

A unique feature of BM is the ability to raise invoices directly from the Site Summaries. When using the BM mobile App, the builder is in a position to send invoices immediately at the end of the week after doing nothing more than a quick reconcile.
