You will approach Fixed Price jobs from both the Estimating and the Invoicing.


Quoting Fixed Price Jobs

Fixed Price jobs are defined as jobs where the contract price has been agreed with nominated allowances and terms and conditions that were set out in your proposal.


Move from the LEAD form to creating a quotation by hitting the CREATE QUOTE button. 

You will now have the start of your your new Quote form with the associated names and details you used to create the LEAD form. 


> First choose the style of Quotation you are creating. Choosing the FIXED PRICE button where in the QUOTE DETAILS box. When you tick FIXED PRICE a new tab will appear for PROGRESS CLAIMS as this will be required if you are successful in your bid. You will not be filling in the Progress Claims until you win the job.


An additional tab appears when you make the Quote a FIXED PRICE

 


> Now choose the RATES that you will use when doing VARIATIONS and tracking ALLOWANCES.


> Now use the INTRO TEXT create your proposals heading and letter that will be sent out. This will appear as a PDF when printed and it is what the customer will see.


> In the QUOTE LINES you will now commence your costings for the Fixed Price job. Full details for this section are found in another knowledge article called ESTIMATING in BM.


Add your RATES and use the WIZARD to do your Quote letter



Note all Exclusions, Inclusions and Allowances


Where you have agreed to estimate a job as FIXED PRICE, you will still have the desire to put boundaries around either the scope of work or the sections.


Some trades nearly always seem to change, regardless how tight the scope of works was written. Examples would be Painting or Electrical.


> Use the EXCLUSIONS / INCLUSIONS to nominate areas of work that are not included and items that are included in your proposal.


> In ALLOWANCES insert here for the customer to plainly see what has been called out as an Allowance. This is not automatically  






Once you have done a check of your proposal you now send out your Fixed Price Quote from BM
