BuildManager (BM) is a complete project management and estimating tool for small and large residential builders. The system's design means the steps are all easily followed from each page you are on. The User Interface and Interaction is simple and obvious.

NEW LEADS - all new prospects are entered on a new LEAD form. Enter all contact details of the prospect and then rate the lead as you understand from your inquiries. Upload any plans or documents sent by the prospect.

CHARGE FOR QUOTING

> CREATE INVOICE - Builders can decide to charge for a Site visit fee from the LEAD FORM if they feel it is warranted. Where a prospect has no plans this is probably a red flag and the prospect may be seeking general prices and building information. Most good prospects will understand and pay. Time wasters and tyre kickers never pay.

GO STRAIGHT TO QUOTE

Create a QUOTE from the lead if you feel otherwise, by hitting the CREATE QUOTE button. You are now ready to begin creating a full proposal. Look to use WIZARDS for both written words and calculations as a major time saver.

QUOTES - Can be FIXED or COST PLUS. Fixed Price jobs usually have plans and a scope of works. From here decide whether which of the ways you plan on creating your quote:

  • Trades Based; (Self Calculated) where you will outline all the trades required and begin to do takeoffs and obtain sub-contractor quotes

  • Trades Based; (Paid Estimator) where you have engaged one of BuildManagers trusted estimators to do a bill of quantities or professional take off and then upload this to your BM proposal

  • Building Solutions; where you have created a Wizard for a number of building solutions such as bathrooms, garages etc

  • A Full Estimate for COST PLUS; where you have decided you will ONLY do the job on a Cost Plus basis, you could create a Trades Based estimate and use best practice M2 for a general Estimate to the prospect

  • VERY IMPORTANT complete all proposals by noting EXCLUSIONS, INCLUSIONS, NOTES to your proposal

ACCEPTANCE

  • Your proposal will have a full set of your standard Terms and Conditions along with your charge rates and margins

  • The ACCEPTANCE form will note each section total and whether it is FOXED PRICE or an ESTIMATE

  • ESTIMATES can be identified as being ALLOWANCES in a FIXED PRICE quote

  • The ACCEPTANCE page should be signed and returned to begin the process of generating contracts where required

EMAIL the proposal from the QUOTE page in BM
